Our Story

Our story begins in 1963, when Fred L. Colvin founded Colvin Masonry. One brick at a time, he built a legacy and reputation that continues on today. Much of Fred's craftsmanship can be seen on schools, churches, retail, and office buildings all around South Cook County and Northwest Indiana.

 

It wasn't long before Fred's two sons, Jeff & Fred joined the crew. Colvin Masonry has been a family business ever since. It was during this time that they began to establish themselves as trusted commercial Union Mason contractors in the area and beyond.

 

Today Jeff, his wife Linda, and 3 of their sons help carry on the tradition of providing quality work and customer satisfaction. Jeff oversees the big picture while his son Chad is the head of estimating. Eric & Shane are both Job Foremen and ensure that every job meets the Colvin standard. Linda and her daughter-in-law both work hard behind the scenes to keep the entire operation running smoothly.
